On this page you will find a reference to two different species of mosses and information on the cost to produce a Moss Tale that involves 1 sq.ft. of moss, a pixie, a set of woodland gnomes, a hand crafted NW Idaho natural clay mushroom and an automated watering system.

‘Dicronoweisia’ (pretty certain-confirmation pending) Moss. Very common, proliferous, year-around-green and hardy deciduous type of moss meaning that it prefers to grow on hardwood (as opposed to pine) tree trunks and low branches as on this ‘moss tree’ below. It does though also grow very well on rocks and is our cheapest (most common) moss for sale.
Definitely not the star like leaf Tortula moss which also grows well on pine and ROCKS. Called Tortula for the very unique twisting peristome.
